Bauer Wolfgang
Born on 18.3.1941 in Graz, died on 26.8.2005 ibid. 1959-1962 studied law and then Romance studies, geography, philosophy, ethnology in Graz, from the winter semester 1962 in Vienna (without graduating), 1962 first productions and performances in the "Forum Stadtpark", publications in the magazine "manuskripte", 1962-1964 in Vienna, return to Graz, friendship and collaboration with Peter Handke, H. C. Artmann, Alfred Kolleritsch and others, In the mid-1960s, joint appearances and happenings with Gunter Falk ("Happy Art & Attitude" 1965), breakthrough as a playwright with the premiere of Magic Afternoon (1968), working stay in Hamburg, 1973/74 and 1975/76 columnist ("Wenn Sie mich fragen") for the "Kronen Zeitung", 1974/75 intensification of film work, also screenwriter, director and actor; draughtsman, painter and caricaturist, since 1992 lecturer at the School of Poetry in Vienna.
