Reinhard Jud
born on May 1, 1957 in Wolfsberg/Carinthia, grew up in southern Burgenland, lives as an author, dramaturge and director in Vienna, was a journalist for Spex, ORF radio and the daily newspaper "Der Standard" as well as editor-in-chief of the film magazine "Filmlogbuch". He has written and directed several feature films and documentaries: "James Ellroy - Demon Dog Of American Crime Fiction" (1993), "Kameni Grad" (1994), "Slidin' - Alles bunt und wunderbar" (1998), "Weg in den Süden" (2003), "Kotva". He wrote the screenplay for "I Love Vienna" (1991) and co-wrote "Höhenangst" (1994), both directed by Houchang Allahyari. Collaboration on various screenplays, dramaturge on "Secrets" by Spartak Pecani, "Ute Bock Superstar" by Houchang Allahyari and "3400 Semmel" by Heinz Trenczak, among others. From 1999 to 2023 he chaired the jury for the Carl Meyer Screenplay Prize in Graz.
