Manfred Mixner, born on 13.6.1947 in Graz. Writer, cultural editor; studied German language and literature and history at the University of Graz; 1970/71 cultural editor of the Graz newspaper "Neue Zeit", 1972 assistant director and dramaturgical assistant at the Graz Schauspielhaus; 1973-1979 freelance journalist; 1979 to 1984 head of the literature and radio drama department at ORF Graz; 1984-1986 head of the Ö1 radio literature department in Vienna; juror for the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize (1984, 1985); 1987 to 2002 head of the radio drama department of the Freies Berlin 3 radio station; taught in Salzburg, Klagenfurt, Berlin and Jena; lives in southern Sweden.
