Wanko Martin G.

Born on 16.2.1970 in Graz. Writer and journalist; elementary school Augasse in Graz, secondary school d. Secondary school Augasse in Graz, secondary school of the Pedagogical Academy of Styria, BORG Hasnerplatz, 1991 school drop-out, until 1993 freelance press photographer and cultural editor for "Wann & Wo", "Neue Vorarlberger Zeitung", "Vorarlberger Nachrichten"; 1994 Matura, from 1994 concert photographer for "Falter"; from 1995 publication of short stories in "das lustige Wohnzimmer", from 1996 freelance photographer and music editor of "Neue Zeit" in Graz, since 2001 regional delegate of the Graz Authors' Assembly; Studied quality journalism at the Danube University in Krems, reviews for "profil", APA (Styria), "The Gap" and "Sport Aktiv"; literary column "Lesbar" in the "Vorarlberger Nachrichten"; screenwriting workshop at the FFH in Munich (2013/14); editor of Rosegger Reloaded (2913).

Awards include: Steiermärkischer Literaturförderungspreis (1996), Graz Dramatist Scholarship (1998), Austrian Dramatist Scholarship (2001).

Plays include: Mahlzeit (1996), Starkstrom (1999), Who Killed Arnie (2000), Der Schleim (2001), Hormonie (2007), Familie Penner (2008), Dritte Liga (2011), Romeo & Julia 2.0 (2013), Paarspiele feat. Publikumsbeschimpfung II (2013).

Novels including: Ken, a crime story (2002), Seelendschungel (2006), Bregenzer Blutspiele (2008), Eisenhagel (2020).
